At Kunst en Schietwerk, anyone, young or old, man, woman and everything in between can
come and shoot. On a beautiful hidden island on the grounds of Castlefest, we would like to
teach you the first steps you need to shoot bow and arrow. Whether you are doing this for the
first time and still need a lot of guidance or are an experienced shooter and just want to update
your technique. Even a disability is no limitation, take up the challenge together with us.
There is also a special photo corner on our site, where beautiful photos can be taken of the archers. That way you always have a cool souvenir!
Archery is getting big again! Not only in films and series, but also in games and books! Who wouldn't want to be like Katniss Everdeen, Hawkeye, Arrow, Legolas, Aloy and last but not least, the one that everyone thinks about when talking about archery, Robin Hood.
We at Kunst en Schietwerk always try to make the place as inviting as possible and to come up with a matching theme every year. We will keep this year's theme a secret for a while. But this means that in addition to the standard targets, you can also shoot at other things that match the theme. Themes that have already come along include: Game of Thrones, Star Wars and Pokémon! Let us surprise you again this year.
Of course you can always come and shoot with friends. If you inform the shooting range that you would like to compete, the instructors will be happy to keep the score for you!
You can also shoot with your own material, but have it inspected by the commissioner first.
For the smaller children or people who do not want to shoot with sharp arrows, we also have a LARP track where you can shoot with LARP arrows at folding targets. This is always fun to do with friends, when a drink or two has already been enjoyed.
Because beware: If you have had any wine, mead or beer, you can only shoot LARP arrows here.
