In this short introductory session, Inger Johanne Tromborg Syverud offers a practical and experiential exploration of galdr — the traditional use of voice and symbols in Northern Europe.
Drawing on saga literature, Icelandic manuscripts, and archaeological sources, the session touches on both vocal practices and visual symbols such as galdrastafir. Participants will be invited to engage in a simple galdr practice, using sound, rhythm, and repetition to explore the resonance of these ancient tools today.
Inger is a Norwegian eco-therapist, ritualist, and artisan with over 25 years of experience in Nordic animist practice and Norse magical traditions.
