The preparations for the celebration of the annual Midsummer feast are already in full swing; tables are placed, a bonfire is built, and everyone is drinking plenty.
In the midst of this joyful chaos suddenly the sound of marching soldiers is heard as the Divine Order enters the village. Displeased with this debauchery, the leaders of the Divine Order command their men to quell this with brute force.

Liza, the well respected and caring herbalist of the village, is fiercely against this heavy-handed approach of the soldiers and shows the Order the door. With this defiance she unwittingly makes herself the opposition of the leaders of the Divine Order.

To break the resistance of the villagers, the Divine Order needs to make an example. Their eyes are set on Liza, whom they accuse of witchcraft. The villagers are forced to make a choice: bend the knee to the Divine Order and change their bonfire into a witch’s pyre, or hold onto the beliefs of kinship?

Prepare yourself for a spectacular fight show with drama, fire and the clashing of steel where manipulation and violence threaten to suppress compassion and kindness.
