We are Charlie van Paassen and Cristel Brandt, together we are cc_shows. With our background in acrobatics, theatre, and object manipulation, we create unique circus acts that are both surprising and entertaining. Our style is energetic, theatrical, and playful, combining multiple disciplines in our performances, from upside-down acrobatics to juggling with unexpected objects. Everything we do revolves around interaction, surprise, and a sense of wonder.
During Castlefest, you’ll find us on a magical stage where we perform shows at set times. Expect short, powerful acts full of humor, acrobatics, and a touch of fire. Each performance tells a little story, without words, but rich in expression and movement. We invite the audience into our world, where things unfold just a little differently than you’d expect.
In addition to our scheduled shows, we also appear as roaming characters. Between the crowds, we emerge as strange figures, like true gentlemen from 1900 in The Menz, or as Krijgers (warriors) on a wild treasure hunt. This way, you might encounter us not only on stage, but in the most unexpected corners of the festival. Our performances fit seamlessly with the atmosphere of Castlefest: fantastical, magical, and just a little absurd.
