Celtica was founded in 2010. As one of the most innovative and creative bands in Folk- and Celtic-Rock, they fascinate audiences from metalheads to grandmothers all across the world. The band has had over 600 performances all over the world; from Alaska to Hawaii, from Wacken to India. In 2019, they won the „International Artist of the Year 2019“ from the Australian Celtic Music Awards.

Hunting the Horizon

The majestic-mystic sound of the Great Highland Bagpipe elevates above the powerful rock band, influences of Irish Folk, Symphonic Metal, and even Gothic merge with the energetic Celtic music, full of lust of life. This sound and the spectacular show guarantee a concert no one will ever forget.

Celtica presents their latest album “Hunting the Horizon”, which combines highly energetic Celtic rock with virtuosic, classically inspired passages. The powerful sound of the bagpipe, masterfully played by Ernesto Gongora, one of the best bagpipers and whistle players in the world, is complemented by the violinist and singer Ajda Azocar, who has been with Celtica only since 2026.

For the first time, this album features rock-style lead vocals, to which the female voice fits perfectly. Celtica's well-known band sound remains intact but is expanded through violin and vocals. Mystic torches on the bagpipes and burning drumsticks, thundering against huge drums, create a cultic atmosphere, flames, shooting out of the instruments, entertain every audience worldwide…

More than 800 performances from Alaska to Hawaii, from the Wacken Metal Festival to India, an award at the Australian Celtic Music Awards as “International Artist of the Year 2019,” six studio albums, two live double CDs, and DVDs with a classical orchestra and large choir make up the band's impressive catalogue.
