DE KOOI

DE KOOI is a new show concept at Castlefest, filled with action, humour and spectacle.

DE KOOI [the cage] has been around for more than a thousand years. No one remembers where it was first organised and who really pulls the strings behind the scenes.

Some fighters are professionals, some less voluntary, others mainly fall prey to prizefighters.

Young nobles looking for adventure, beggars of all kinds, war barons, creatures from other worlds and conquerors of Magic take on each other. The risk is high but the prize for the winner is higher.

The fights in DE KOOI are a showdown without firearms. Contestants enter with blank weapons and, if they possess them, magic and special powers.

Two enter DE KOOI, one leaves DE KOOI.

Once a year, eight different fighters from known and unknown worlds meet in DE KOOI. They fight to see who is the strongest, smartest and therefore best fighter. All this mainly for the entertainment of the organisers and their audience.

We start with eight fighters. Those fight one-on-one in the first round.

In round two, the four remaining fighters meet in two thrilling duels.

Round three is the final round. Here, the last two fighters battle each other until one remains standing.
