You will find Priestesses and/or Priests of the Heathen Gang standing at the entrance to the Wicker. These devoted women and men are present not only to ensure that this sacred place is treated with respect, but also to offer help and support in the process.
You can always ask them for some guidance. This can be emotional, physical or ritual guidance. You can also ask them all your questions about the traditions and rituals around the Wicker Ritual.
On Saturday from 17.00h, the honorary Wicker guards, who represent the elements during the Ritual, will be at the entrance to guide you until the ceremony begins. They will be present around the Wicker during the ceremony as well.
On Sunday, wicker guards will also be standing by the Wicker ashes.
Between 15.00 and 17.00h, they will perform the ash stamping. You can receive a beautiful stencil with the (coloured) ashes on your arm or hand. The colour pigments mixed into the ashes are safe and skin-friendly.
If you prefer to just collect some ash from the Wicker, please bring your own small container. The Wicker guards will collect some for you.
