Luc Arbogast

Luc Arbogast is one of the very few French artists who has successfully brought a medieval and sacred musical aesthetic into the contemporary music landscape without artistic compromise, while reaching a wide audience.

Luc Arbogast

At a time when music is increasingly designed for fast consumption, Luc Arbogast offers the opposite: a moment of pause, depth, and remembrance. His artistic approach seeks to reconnect listeners with ancient musical forms — medieval chants, sacred traditions, and old languages — not as relics of the past, but as timeless vehicles of emotion and meaning. His work responds to a strong contemporary need: to rediscover silence, resonance, and inner elevation through music.

Recognised artistic legitimacy

A self-taught musician, Luc Arbogast developed outside academic institutions. He began his career in the 1990s as a street performer and itinerant singer, notably on cathedral forecourts and at heritage festivals. This grounding shaped a direct relationship with audiences and a rare mastery of acoustic performance.

In 2013, his participation in *The Voice – The Most Beautiful Voice* marked a decisive turning point. He became one of the most memorable contestants of the season, immediately standing out for his countertenor voice and singular artistic universe. The programme exposed him to millions of viewers nationwide and significantly expanded his audience.

That same year, his album *Odysseus*, released on Mercury / Universal, was certified Platinum, confirming strong public support for a demanding and unconventional artistic project. Today, Luc Arbogast brings together a solid community of several hundred thousand followers across social networks and digital platforms and performs regularly in France and internationally.

Live

A Luc Arbogast concert is an immersive and introspective experience. Carried by an exceptional vocal range (from baritone to countertenor) and accompanied by ancient acoustic instruments, his performances naturally belong in heritage venues, theatres, and identity-driven festivals. For programmers, Luc Arbogast offers a rare, transgenerational, and high-symbolic-value project, capable of leaving a lasting impression on audiences.
