Medusa's World: Kali Mata and her firebirds

The new parade of Medusa's World

Kali Mata (Mother Kali) is, in Hinduism, the powerful goddess of time, change, transformation, and the destruction of the ego. She is seen as the dark, fiery form of Shakti (pure energy) and the destroyer of evil. Despite her terrifying appearance—often depicted with a bloody tongue and a garland of skulls—she is revered as a loving, protective mother who dispels ignorance and promotes spiritual growth. Medusa is taking her along on her journey this year.

Accompanied by her auspicious firebirds and fire demons, this year will be a fiery, colorful spectacle reminiscent of the Rio Carnival, but also of the many rituals in India, where hibiscus flowers are offered to Kali and the rivers turn red…. If you see her birds flying by during a festival, that is a good omen… ;-)

The Green Fairy from Medusa’s World will be at Castlefest again. Will you come and see her?
