Thomas R.J. Peters

As a child, Thomas R.J. Peters (1995) had a rich imagination and made up a lot of stories. To his regret, he never wrote them down at the time. During his time in high school he abandoned creating stories for a while, but when he started reading fantasy books at age 19, he thought: I want to do this too. He let his imagination work and started writing both short and long stories. He wouldn't let anyone read most of them, but they made him master writing more and more.

As in his childhood, his stories often have many characters. In real life you also know many people, so why not in the fictional world? Of course, the fact that characters must have a function is very important, so while rewriting his debut The Lost Princes, the first book in the series The Return of the Zyrenics, he had to say goodbye to some of them.

Thomas draws inspiration from the work of other writers who work with a multitude of characters, such as Joe Abercrombie, George R.R. Martin and Robin Hobb. But also authors who have nothing to do with fantasy, such as Hanya Yanagihara, Jonathan Franzen and an array of others.

His debut, The Lost Princes, the first book in the series The return of the Zyrenics, is an extraordinary fantasy and meticulously constructed fantasy novel. The reader follows a number of characters in different lands. Their stories seem unconnected at first, but as the story unfolds, the role of magic of the Zyrenics becomes increasingly clear.
